Dunedin Fire and Circus Club

We were engaged to create a logo for the Fire an Circus Club in Dunedin.

For the brief we were requested to create a combined mark that encapsulated the spirit of growth, development, and personal discovery.

The concept of growth and development was illustrated through the spiral movement of the flame around the body, with the dragon and figure meditating representing the journey of inner discovery that takes place throughout the process of achieving mastery of a certain skill set. 

The typeface Oldstyle was selected, bringing reference to the old scriptive styled hand lettering styles of sages of old, invoking a feeling of reverence to the arcane.
